"Doggie" is both Analeasa's child and best friend. He is confined to the bed. She and he are having a conversation this second. Can't tell what they're saying, because Doggie is a baby, so he talks kind of babyish.... Glad to know that your kids have theirs. Great post. Oh, and I do have an albino ape named Jorge that my Dad gave me when I left for college.

I loved this post! Of course, children should have something fuzzy for security when they are young, if they want it. Even adults have "items" that make them feel comfortable (think about it), though they may be more'"sophisticated" than a blanket. And those precious childhood "securities" make happy memories for moms when children are grown and gone...

R doesn't suck her thumb with her Huggie Naps anymore, but she is still eternally attached to it. It is sweet to hear the stories she makes up about her little bear. One day, we left it at home and she said,

"Mama, Huggie Naps is my child and I am her mama, and she just misses me! I can't leave her home alone she'll get too scared!"

C still sucks his thumb with his blanket, and I don't think he'll be making any stories up about it anytime soon.
