Puddle Jumping

Yesterday brought a lot of rain, so even though today was nice, there are several foot-deep mud puddles in various parts of our backyard. Drew took it upon himself to go jumping and splashing out there, not once but twice today.
That’s showing up on my doorstep in two separate sets of clothes, drenched head to toe in muddy water. Two sets of clothes to peel off and carry, dripping, to the laundry room. Two sets of shoes filled with water abandoned outside our front door.
Extra laundry (including a winter coat) and an extra bath.
Now, I understand the need for puddle jumping, I really do. But have some compassion on a poor mama already!
