Why we love us some vacation
By Moriah on June 13th, 2008
Although, I should clarify – breakfast was not a walk in the proverbial park. By the time we managed to get downstairs, a lot of the food options were gone so we had to do a little scrambling and ‘going without.’ And then Madeline announced to the entire breakfast room that she “HAD TO GO POOP!”
Slightly embarrassing.
We spent the first half of today doing some of this:
Adelaide loved the water. She stayed in that floatie for well over an hour, splashing and giggling and having a grand ole time.
My other fishies…
Madeline is much more daring than Drew. She jumps of her own accord and totally trusts the floatie to catch her. Drew needs more coaxing.
And we even squeezed in a little bit of this:
Tonight we had the rehearsal and the Rehearsal Dinner. More on that later though, I’m wiped.

Stayin’ cool in the pool! Looks like fun.
I thought of you on my way to Denver this morning. I passed two cars with a certain political candidate’s (who might be related to you) name on them.
:)
Oooh fun!
I couldn’t get E to put even his big toe in the kiddie pool. harumph
My kids perfect idea of vacation is the pool-doesn’t matter what state it’s in–just let them swim!
Your kids are beautiful!
I could take my kids to a hotel 5 miles down the road for vacation and they would not care as long as there was a pool!
My little girl thinks it’s important to not only interupt my dinner but everyone’s in earshot with the “I’ve got to go poop now momma”…yeah I feel your pain!
Looks like your hands are full and i so know this…who said 3 was easy?! By the way there all cuties also!
We were in an aquarium once and my then 2 year old son had diarhea. He would scream at the top of his lungs when he had cramps, “OH!! POOPY HURT, MOMMY, POOPY HURT!!!” He must’ve yelled that five different times. Thankfully the good Lord gave me a sense of humor even then.
Pools are always fun!! Glad everyone enjoyed it :-)
So… when does the Loud Poop Announcement move from slightly embarrassing to humiliating? At what age? Because I really need to know, since the Tongginator is four-and-a-half and she still pulls this on occasion.
My kids love the pool too. Beautiful pictures! Your kids are gorgeous!
It looks like they had a great time in the pool! My kids love the water!
Great pictures! You definitely need to hang on to the poop memory. It’ll be great ammunition when she’s a teenager and you really want to mortify her in public. :) Not that I would ever embarass my kids…
Everyone of of my four boys has announced loudly and publicly that they need to poop. Always fun!
Those are some of the cutest fish I have ever seen.
Looks like you had lots of fun in the pool! Precious pictures!!
Nothing like some pool time to cool off in the summer heat! Great pictures! :o)
Looks like fun in the pool! But I really like the pic of them asleep – a sure sign of a day of fun.
