Have to say this was harder to read being 7 months pregnant, but all the more powerful and real. Thanks for the reminder.
I like how the author reminds us that there are laws to protect animals and trees, and yet lives of babies seem less important. Priorities anyone?
I could hardly make it through to the end….now I feel sick. Can’t believe this is actually happening somewhere in this country today.
That was horrible. So importantly horrible.
You might be interested to read this article (http://tinyurl.com/55osap) by a self-defined atheist/feminist about Governor Palin. Towards the end she talks about Palin’s pro-life stance and openly admits that those who believe in pro-choice do know that it is murder, but essentially says they believe it’s “murder for a good cause.”
If pro-choicers see it this way then our arguments must change to a human rights argument…when is a woman’s body not just her body but suddenly belongs to someone else as well?
