Although I used to consider myself a "night owl," I've found over the past several years, that if I can get myself up and going in the morning, my most productive hours are between 7-11am. For that reason, I've signed up for jobs that start very early, and for the first classes of the day in college so that I can make sure I'm awake during my best time.

I also want to point out that while morning people have to be careful not to be obnoxious first thing, people who aren't naturally inclined to chat so early should really try and be gracious. Some of us are just happy to see you!

P.S. I found your blog through Femina and I love it!

I am DEFINITELY a night owl. I don't want anyone talking to me too early in the morning or too soon after I wake up.

I sleep from about 12-8am. I can stay awake fine and wake up as chatty as the next person. I'm not far to one side or the other. Anna-Kate is certainly a morning person though. I can sometimes hear her in bed at 5:30 chatting with her animals. Thankfully she either chills or falls back asleep until around 7:45/8.

I'm a morning person too - I had to learn in college not to chatter too much in the morning. When I first got there, I always thought people were mad at me in the morning! Not mad, but probably a little annoyed 8-). But my hubby is a night owl, so he drags me down 8-). We stay up late enough that I need coffee to function in the morning.

I usually need sleep, but I have this very strange thing like my Uncle Brian Kvale where I am both a night owl and a morning person. I wasn't allowed to get out of bed before 630 as a child and no one invited me for slumber parties because I was talking all night, and then up first twinge of light. But Adam is a lot like me, so it works pretty well in this little household.

I am definitely an night owl. In fact, hubs and the kiddos are too. Great for sleeping in on Saturdays but not so great for getting them up for school/daycare in the mornings.

I am a night owl for sure. The kids are too, so in the summer we sleep in nice and late, usually 9am or so. Let's just say that school starting has been an adjustment!

Yeah, having kids messes up my natural schedule.(Understatement there)
I don't really know what I am anymore. But I used to be a morning person. I guess that's where my kids get it. Hubs is a night owl.

Once I'm up, I'm ready to go and can chat about anything. It's strange being a morning person married to a night owl... Jeremy and I have to give each other plenty of space at various times of the day! lol.

I'm a morning person, along with one of my kids. The other two and hubby are night people.

I learned early on to keep my morning chattiness to myself. (Night owl sister who shared a room helped.)

Now I try to remind my morning daughter to chat with me and not the others.

My problem: since hubby is a night owl and I hate to miss any fun, I'm really tempted to stay up way too late to be with him. Then I feel like a non-morning person the next day too.

See, I think I tend to be a morning person, but not die-hard. I'm so exhausted after a night full of parenting, that since having little ones the morning person in me tends to be curbed. But when I'm more on a real people schedule I do wake up peppy. When I was in grad school, I preferred to wake up at 5 and work rather than stay up past 11 or 12.

Night person. But I think since I've been a mom I'm learning to function in the morning. Also since DH is a morning person I've learned to listen really well with a cup of coffe in hand :o)

My Madely is totally the same way. As soon as she is up, she's ready to go. I'm 50/50. As long as I have some coffee in my hand, I'm good.

100% night owl, no question about it. I can easily stay up until 2:00 a.m. (and often do), but I have to drag myself out of bed in the morning while my morning-person daughter chatters happily at me. She is sooooo like her daddy in that area.

I think I'm split 50/50. Some mornings I'm a morning person, and sometimes I'm a night owl. I really think it depends on what time of the month it is. LOL!
