Have I ever mentioned it was also graduation day?

By Moriah on January 28th, 2009

When I first saw this wedding carnival at Eli’s Lids, I wasn’t going to participate. But I decided to for two reasons – 1) I didn’t have any other ideas for a post for today and 2) the vast majority of my current close friends weren’t at our wedding and have never seen pictures (not to mention my bloggy friends).

Only a small handful of people have ever even seen these photos (probably because they reside in a gigantic leather album that sits inside a glass box table thing in our living room). So I decided to scan a few and give it a shot.

This one sort of half-shows the window topiaries. They had tiny yellow rosebuds stuck in them and they were gorgeous. Gold pillar candles sat on either side with a length of swirled tulle.

The cake was DIVINE. Coulda eaten the whole thing myself.

Okay, maybe not.

They lived happily ever after. The end.

(Now leave me a comment so I don’t feel so self-conscious.)

You just look beautiful! I love your bouquet. The church looks awesome with your wedding party standing on the stage! And you look great in your wedding gown. Did you ever get a picture of the topiaries?… I didn’t get any pix of the center pieces or the reception room/tent, and I don’t rememeber much so I totally wish I had that… so lame.

Beautiful! You guys still look exactly the same!!!

I read your Twitter comment about Madeline wanting to know why she’s not in the pictures. That is definitely a hard one to explain! But so funny.

The pictures are beautiful, I didn’t get a lot of good photos from my wedding and I’m always jealous of others. Maybe if I get my scanner hooked up I’ll join in the fun. How many years for you guys?

I loved your wedding!! God answered many prayers that day. I was so thankful that you didn’t “ask for the moon” in planning your wedding and it was such a gorgeous and elegant wedding. The best part was when you told me that it was the wedding of your dreams!! I’m so proud of you both. Much love, Mom

I LOVE how you did your hair – so beautiful! He must have had a palpitating heart when he saw you coming down the aisle! But after reading your blog for all this while, my (weird) first impression when seeing the group pictures was, “Where are the kids?” Silly.

I love the wedding. It’s hard to pull off a Yellow that doesn’t look strange. Darcee did it too and I loved it. She said her inspiration was your wedding. So someone was paying attention to your pictures. ;)

Thank you for sharing. I always love looking at wedding photos and especially enjoyed seeing yours. Such a beautiful bride! Your wedding style was truly timeless. Weddings can so often appear trendy one second and then out of style the next moment. – L R

Look at you, Gorgeous Thang! I simply love looking at other people’s wedding photos, so this was great. I like your hair – mine was done in a similar style for my wedding day, so I guess great minds think alike!

That cake DOES look amazing. What kind was it?
