Happy Birthday to Andy!

Yes, we like to cram all of our holidays into one week. Mother’s Day, our anniversary, Andy’s birthday, (and when we got married it was also my graduation day)…
Today Drew’s school has their closing chapel so we’re going to that. I’ll try not to cry. (How did I get a kid this big? Wasn’t he born yesterday?) And then later Andy and I are heading out to a bed & breakfast since my mom is here to keep the kids and let’s just say that I CANNOT WAIT!!!
No one will wake me up tomorrow morning!
(It’s the little things.)
Also, thank you all for your congratulations yesterday! Many of you asked what the kids said/thought. We haven’t actually told them yet. We (meaning I) decided to wait until they wouldn’t have so long to wait. Time is eternal when you’re 3.
(That and them asking me every five seconds if the new baby is here yet. They would SO be doing that.)
(It’s called maintaining the peace.)

I never tell the boys anything that’s going to happen until 5 minutes before. For the same reason you said.
Have fun at the B&B!!!!!
We used Princess’s bedroom calendar to help her with the concept of when her baby brother would be born. (She was a few months shy of 4 when we told her)
I turned to July and had her put a sticker of a baby on the page. We’ve had to do this with other events and it really helps her understand the concept of ‘when’ we are going to Grandma’s house, Easter, Christmas and now the approximate arrival of her sibling.
Goodness, that is a lot of holiday in one week. Have a good time at the B&B – I’m so jealous! I look forward to Saturday mornings when I don’t have to get up to fix breakfast for someone, but, of course, then I will be sad that no one needs me! :)
CONGRATULATIONS on the new baby! That is so exciting and fun! I am 27 weeks and counting. I don’t blame you for not teling the kids yet. That’s a good idea! Have fun at the bed and breakfast. Enjoy the time away!
We share the same anniversary and John’s birthday is tomorrow, so we know all about cramming all of our holidays into one week. I hope you have a great anniversary celebration. Happy 7 years!
