It’s that time again

I’m at Chic Critique today, talking about maternity fashion. It’s worth a click even if you aren’t currently pregnant – these clothes are CUTE!

NO SUCH THING AS CUTE PREGO CLOTHES!
ummmm, no. i felt like skippy the whale in EVERYTHING it put on. (except the husband’s sweats :)
at least not everything is polka-dot anymore! I was a TRUE looker in (said) polka-dot bathing suit. :)
Congrats on the little babe! I’ll be praying for you! would love to meet you some time! D showed me your blog. I love it!!!

a.k.a. “Danielle’s friend” :)
I beg to differ. ;)
No such thing?? Whoa! My preggo clothes are WAY cuter and much more flattering than any of my normal clothes! I wonder where you are shopping?
ok, maybe i have an identity complex left over from puberty???
Only think i liked about pregnancy, was being able to go to the beach, dig a (large) hole in the sand… plop my tummy in it and get a nice “back tan”… no sucking in required :)
as to the rest,
if i could have had a bonfire with those clothes, i would have. :)
I have looooved shopping for maternity clothes! Wait, you mean I no longer have to find clothes that hide my tummy, and they are super cute?? Count me in!
And I love that you posted about where to find cute ones. I’m glad you highlighted some of the cuter clothes that Old Navy has online. Our O.N. only has a few random maternity t-shirts, so I’ll have to check out their website. I will say, though, that I’ve been disappointed with their maternity tanks. They wash kind of funny and end up big in the wrong places (up top), and then kind of shrink on the bottom, thus defeating their purpose. And, that’s how they came out even though I line dried them. Maybe you all will have better luck than me, though.
Oh, and I also agree with your Gap Maternity assessment….$70 for a dress??? I did get a cute denim skirt there on sale, though.
I haven’t bought a single thing and I’m in my 28th week. My cousin gave me a good chunk of clothes, and then for my birthday I got several pieces. But I have been able to wear my regular jeans and my bigger shirts.
Also Motherhood was just super expensive here, a lot of money for stuff that wasn’t that great in my opinion.
Motherhood I have to pick through. But they can be cheap – don’t know if it’s locational.
