Please, let’s not keep it
By Moriah on June 4th, 2009
We’re stranded today until I can find my keys. (Yes, I already checked Madeline’s purse.) She got a ride to a princess party yesterday and I haven’t seen them since we switched out her carseat in the POURING rain. I do have a spare but it hasn’t been re-coded yet.
But, never fear, we’re not suffering for cheap entertainment. Look what Madeline just found:

That would be a turtle, in case you can’t tell. I’m crossing my fingers she doesn’t ask to make it her pet. A puppy is enough, thank you.
***Edited to add: I FOUND MY KEYS! They were under the sofa, pushed waaaaaay towards the back.

So glad you found them. You need to have a gps tracking system installed on your keychain. Or one of those “clapper” devices where you clap your hands and they start beeping until you find them. ;)
I think you need to have a hook right by the door that you hang them on as soon as you walk in the door! That’s what Dave makes me do, or I’ll lose mine every time!
We have some leftover turtle food from when we rescued one on the side of the road. We had him for a couple of months and I grew very fond of him. He lived on our screened in porch until someone (JASON) left the door open and he was gone! :)
PTL!!!! Glad that you have recovered from your rough morning. So thankful that God gives strength for each day. Such cute pictures of Madeline and her temporary friend!!
VERY temporary. I already put him in the ditch when the kids weren’t looking.
moriah!! how heartless! that’s like the time when dad dropped off our hamsters on the side of the road when we were at school.. sandra & i were devestated =P
i love how she’s trying to coax/pet him out of his shell! and that you hid him in the ditch :)
This is my first time visiting your site. I read a few of your posts and your kids are so cute! Madeline’s hair is beautiful and you did a GREAT job cutting Adelaide’s!
On a non-turtle note: I am moved to say that child has the best head of hair I’ve ever seen. (But you knew that already.)
