Cherries, Part 2

By Moriah on June 17th, 2009

Man, I love VBS.

Adelaide’s cherry outfit, made yesterday (don’t mind the microwave):

I also added the pom-pom fringe to the hem of Madeline’s dress. We’re fancy like that.

It’s so fun to be finishing projects! Way to go. And did you use elastic thread for those bloomers? It’s my new favorite sewing item!

What is this elastic thread??? This could revolutionize my world! Cute, cute! I need to get a longer bloomer pattern. My 3yo is getting quite big for the short bloomers, but they are so cute!

I don’t actually use patterns. I just measured her leg and then used that for the in-seam.

I am LOVING the pom fringe! So cute it hurts :)

Sometimes it seems just a bit of detail add so much to the overall finished product. I would say in this case the ribbon and the poms make it fabulous.

Did you use ribbon or elastic for the bloomer pant legs and waist? Bloomers are my next thing to tackle and figure out. I pretty much gave up on the diaper covers as those itty bitty leg holes were too tiny for me to handle :)
