Dear Summer, you are slipping by way too fast
By Moriah on July 3rd, 2009
I have lots of fond memories from childhood summers and I want the same thing for my kids. So besides all the crafting going on, we’ve had ourselves a busy week-o-fun.
My goal was to do one fun outing a day. On Monday we had Chick-Fil-A (just the chicken; I brought our own sides and we ate in the car) for dinner, went to Target (fun!) and then spent a while at the playground.
On Tuesday we went to the children’s museum. Wednesday I had a return at the mall so they played in the free play area there. Yesterday we went swimming for several hours and the verdict is still out for today. Almost all of our outings were free and wore ‘em out good for naps. (Which means I’ve been having some good naps, too.)
And of course, what summer day would be complete without silly books and ice cream cones?

Sounds like a great FREE summer – it can cost such a lot if you have to pay for something every day.
We always look for the free stuff too!
Naps are good. Today had my first 2 and 1/2 nap in a long time.
I love FREE family fun! This sounds like a great week to me!
