Perhaps the sun has forgotten how to shine
Despite yesterday being our (approximate) 467,398th day of rain, we had a pretty good day. My friend Sarah called in the morning saying she was going to get her kids out of the house one way or the other, so we all decided to meet at the children’s museum.
And yes, when we got out of the car, it was still pouring. Thankfully I remembered I still had the rain cover for my double stroller in the back of my van and so the girls managed to get inside totally dry. I fared okay with an umbrella. Drew just ran around in the rain like the free-spirited 5 1/2-year-old that he is.
They all wanted to play in the water exhibit right when we walked in. It’s like we haven’t had enough water lately or something.
When we got home there was a package waiting for my sisters from my mom so when one of them came over to get it I ran to the store ALONE. We were out of coffee and dishwasher detergent so clearly life could not move forward until that was fixed.
Drew’s school was canceled yesterday and Madeline’s is closed today (some area schools being closed due to flooding). Which means I’m down to 2 hours and 45 minutes of quiet before Drew gets back.
I’d better get busy.

Glad you got out yesterday!
I hear you on the rain. We’ve been hiding out in the house for so long I think we’ve all developed some kind of vitamin D deficiancy.
I’ll feel sorry for you with all your rain if you’ll feel sorry for me with snow/cold temps. ;)
