Eat(ing) Mor Chikin
I’m at that point in this pregnancy where pretty much anything goes. Syrupy waffles for breakfast? Sure! Chick-fil-A for dinner? Sure! Goldfish for lunch? Sure!! I know it’s just a season and frankly, I’m too tired to care.
So yes, last night Andy and I took the kids to CFA for dinner. I knew Tuesday was their kids’ night and lo and behold, all you have to do is purchase one adult combo and they give you as many free kids’ meals as you need. That my friends, can add up to a lot of free waffle fries.
Unfortunately for Madeline, the cow had already disappeared by the time she finished her dinner. (Which was okay with me because the last time we were there she sort of stalked the cow. I had felt a little sorry for he/she/it.)
The other thing we did yesterday (besides shuttling the kids to and from school) was meet with a realtor friend about maybe selling our house. It was more just to get information than anything; in the end we decided that is more of a 2-3 year plan. (You know, for when we REALLY outgrow this space.)
Oh, and it didn’t rain and was even fairly sunny. Which, unfortunately, is rather noteworthy these days.

when i was preggo, chick-fil-a was the only way i could eat chicken. any other form made me sick.
i really didn’t mind.
I’m right there with you. We had Chili’s for dinner last night and frozen pancakes for breakfast this morning.
You know, when your kids can eat free at CFA, you probably got out cheaper than a home cooked meal. Milk it, Moriah. You’ll feel like cooking again one of these days (or years)(or decades!). I know you’ve got to be exhausted by the time dinner rolls around.
There are plenty of restaurant chains that offer free kids’ meals with the purchase of adult meals. While some limit the number of free meals and the times of the day in which they can honor these offers, it certainly helps with the family budgets. :)
CFA last night, church meal tonight…..think you can get Steve to cook for your kids tomorrow? :o)
At 33 weeks pregnant, I was just thinking tonight that maybe people should bring pregnant women meals BEFORE they have the baby, rather than after! I’m getting to the point that I’m soooooo tired all the time!
Your post prompted me to go online and look for a Chik-Fil-A. The closest one is 70 miles away. I see a franchise opportunity!
I guess I read the summary under “blog I follow” and hadn’t clicked it yet. Got it now – lots of free food to be had! :) I say, keep your eyes out for another house, something great may come along when you aren’t looking for it! :) I’d be interested what you found out (just curious, I spent my five years out-of-college-before-children in real estate).
Have you heard Tim Hawkins’ CFA song? So funny.
I did not know that about CFA! Awesome!
The stalking cow comment was too funny LOL
Um, that should be “cow stalking” :D
