Oh… Yeah…

By Moriah on October 14th, 2009

So my friend Sarah asked me today if I’d started washing newborn clothes and generally getting things ready.

That would be a negative, Tower.*

Honestly, I sort of forgot about all that stuff. I suppose I need to dig around and find the infant car seat in the attic, shake the dust off and wash the cover. I have no idea where my nursing bras are. And hospital bag? What’s that?

Have I pre-registered at the hospital? Another negative, Tower.

(I have my GBS test on Friday and so I’m planning on swinging by the hospital on my way home.)

(If I remember.)

This has all felt so far in the future for so long, it sort of seems shocking that we could very well have her here in two weeks.

My oh my, where did the time go?

(*My dad was a pilot. He always said that to us.)

Didn’t mean to put the pressure on….but maybe its good I did :o) I figure I still have a few weeks before I need to drive in to baby set up. See you tonight….and tomorrow!

I was just wondering how close you were to the big day. I hope your car seat fared well in the attic. We kept our old infant carrier up there, and when we got it down the rubber on the handle had kind of melted and gotten all sticky. We had to wrap it in racket tape. Which only kind of worked. I insisted on a new seat when we had our fifth baby, and now that we are expecting our sixth we just keep it in the house.

    Can’t wait for baby news!

yeah, I suppose by the time you have baby#4 you are much more relaxed about all those things :)

I have the exact same problem… except we gave away all of baby stuff, thinking we were done. We don’t even own any baby items!

My neighbor is pregnant and has all of her Christmas shopping done. I’ve NEVER been that on the ball. Especially when I was pregnant.

It will all get done. And if it doesn’t get done, then it won’t. That’s my motto. And I’m sticking to it.

Ah, you’re on #4. You could do this with half your brain turned off and one eye closed. And you probably will!
