The Best-Laid Plans…
By Moriah on October 16th, 2009
Yesterday was… interesting.
All the normal stuff, meaning school and breakfast (although Madeline’s on fall break) and then some errands.
My kids were the worst at Wal-mart they’ve EVER been… Drew and Adelaide fighting over a water bottle (what in the world?) and Madeline crying because she had a headache. It was almost laughable how very loud they were. I would have turned around and walked out except for the fact that I HAD to get a few things because I’m going on a women’s retreat TONIGHT (!!!) and didn’t think my sisters would appreciate a house with empty cupboards.
AND THEN. My friend Nicky had been planning on hosting a Pampered Chef party last night until her hubby upped and left town on a work emergency. (So sorry again, Nick.) So there was no girls’ night to be had and she also can’t come with us on the retreat. Very sad.
I’m currently sitting in my midwife’s lobby waiting to be seen. It was probably a good thing I stayed home last night since I wouldn’t have gotten nearly as much laundry done and today would have been even crazier. And it’s crazy enough.
But I just have to make it to 4 o’clock.
(And yes, I remembered my pre-registration papers for the hospital. Now all I have to do is remember to stop there on my way home.)

Let me know how your appt went. Have fun tonight, sorry Nicky can’t go on the retreat with you.
My church had our ladies retreat this weekend as well! It was so fun, and great to get away for 24 hours. I hope yours was good and you enjoyed your time with the ladies.
I feel your pain about the kids! I ran in to the thrift store yesterday with the kids, and I only had 2 with me! Not only did we dump the baggie of goldfish crackers, but we also spilled another package of pretzel sticks. I think I spent more time on the floor!!
