DPP Day 11: Warm & Bright

Two years ago I made Madeline a little scarf for the winter (when we lived up north and it was cold).  She’s been wearing it a lot recently and I decided I needed to make one for Adelaide.  I thought this bright multi-colored yarn would be fun for her dark pink corduroy coat.

That photo was right before I ripped the whole thing out and started over, making it a bit narrower.  I also didn’t like how the colors were lining up so uniformly.  It looks much better this time.  I’ll post another photo when it’s finished.

Posted in conjunction with the December Photo Project.

You just had child #4, are in the middle of a bathroom remodel, and you have time to knit/crochet?
    Time management suggestions, please!

Sassy! Just like her! Making stuff for your kids is so much more fun than making stuff for yourself. don’t you think?

Love the colors! Are you making friend gifts this year? (Just kidding :o)
Dolly, I certainly think shopping for kids is more fun then shopping for myself (not that I don’t love a good Loft run…), in fact when my sister asked what I wanted for Christmas my first couple of ideas were kid things so I had to censor myself!

Beautiful Yarn! Can’t wait to see the finished project (of course, you’ll get to count that as a different DPP – cheater!). :)

Oh man, you got that far and ripped it all out! I still want to learn to do this!
