Glad to be on this side

By Moriah on March 10th, 2010

BAH.

I finally (FINALLY!) got all my stuff tagged and loaded in the car yesterday afternoon. Gretchen was a saint and let my kids be at her house while I dropped off my ball and chain stuff to the consignment sale.

I pulled up and the doors were locked and lights off. I may or may not have screamed a little in my head. Thankfully she was able to pull up the website and direct me to the new location. The sale is huge, y’all. Huge. (I BETTER MAKE SOME MONEY ON THIS STUPID STUFF OR I’LL BE MAD!)

We had supper with them (thank you thank you thank you) and then I crashed on Madeline’s bed when we got home. I think I dozed a few times while reading them their bedtime books. (If it’s possible to fall asleep while reading aloud.)

It gave me a little bit of a second wind and I somehow managed to clean the house up a bit after the kids were asleep. Andy’s folks drove here yesterday to help us finish up the kitchen. (Squee!) The old countertops are currently sitting outside in my front yard. Good riddance!

So, yeah. BIG WEEK.

Where is the sale this year, M?

I know that feeling. I took clothes once and I felt like I had tore up the whole place to get every thing done. But what a great feeling!

I can’t tell you how many times I have fallen asleep while reading ALOUD to the kids. Sad but true.=} “Mommy……..Mommy…….MOMMY……..you can keep reading!”

I hope you make some money too! There is a big sale like that here and most of my friends DO make some $$$. They’ve tried to convince me to sell my kids’ stuff but really? I’m just too lazy. I’d rather give it away than go to all that trouble. I’m *such* the inspiration, huh? If you come back and tell me you made $200 then I might give it a go. ;)

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve fallen asleep reading to my kids – it’s embarassing to admit but I even found myself dozing off while reading to my youngest at the LIBRARY!!!! Must get to sleep earlier at night. MUST!
