A bumpy day

By Moriah on May 1st, 2010

So today my girls and I attended half of our church’s Ladies Tea. It was one of those times where it just struck me sitting there that this isn’t worth it and we got up and left. Maybe next year, when they are older and I’m not stretched quite so thin; not as many little girls needing things or a nursing baby.

Plus, I had been holding Arianna while trying to manage with the chicken salad, and a mayonnaisey piece fell down the front of my shirt.  (Sorry…just had to share.)  Funny, except when you’re over-tired and already a wee bit stressed.

I also forgot my camera.  These were taken at home after we had relaxed some and she had been fed.

Sorry about your tea. I’ve totally been there. Don’t know which is cuter, the baby or the shoes.

Well, the baby looked fabulous! And those SHOES — oh my. Adorable :) Didn’t they have a nursery at this Ladies Tea?

She is SO cute! And those shoes are so so cute! Did you make them?

    Love the shoes! ;)

MK- They did, but they looked maxed out as it was, and the ages weren’t separated like they are for Sundays. I didn’t think I could slap a high-maintenance aged baby in there with the mix with those dads. Ha.

Sooo sorry and I totally understand. And yes it does get better. One day you see the young mom walk in just wanting to relax and no seat to be found and you just want to give a hug and put every one of them in a seat by you. And then you realize just how easy some parts of life have truly become. Glad you went with enjoyable instead of social obligation. :) And the shoes are adorable.

Happened to me with Easter Breakfast. I think it’s much better to realize it’s not going to work out than trying to force it to. I keep chanting “it’s just a season, it’s just a season.” At least she looked cute! It’s all about the shoes anyway!

Moriah, I’m so sorry! I wish I had come gotten one of your beautiful darlings from you! Stephen read this and said he could have totally taken Arianna on in the nursery :) haha Hope the next event goes better!

I’m in love with those shoes! Where did you get them?

The shoes! I must have them. Where ever did you find such adorable musthaveable shoes?!

I’m loving the medallions between your post.

Sorry it was a rough day. Take it easy; you’re doing great!!! Sometimes slowing down a bit is just what the doctor ordered.

I admire you for knowing that it wasn’t worth making yourself crazy and getting up and leaving! Sorry things were rough. Hang in there!

BTW, the pics of A in this post and your next one (piggy tails) are so stinkin’ cute. You guys coming to CO this summer?
