There was a party, who knew?!

By Moriah on June 1st, 2010

Here I was complaining talking about the Memorial Day annual rain, when really it cleared up enough to do this -

Drew swim

kids swim

memorial swim

There was even a feast of grilled yumminess.

So, I want to know what you did for Memorial Day (and was it what you had planned)?

So glad that you had a fun time. We had 17 at the cabin!! Now the fence posts are up and the rails wait to be done. Love seeing pictures!

Plan: To stay home and rest and do a little of nothing.

Actual: Helped people move, 6 loads of laundry, a Lowe’s run, and dinner out. Whew!

Napped, painted, swept, sanded, talked, ate, watched, crashed.

recovered from Sunday (I preached at our church for the first time!), went grocery shopping, enjoyed the rain.

Okay, okay ;) I wasn’t going to answer, because we DIDN’T do anything special. As you noted, it RAINED. Hubby did cook burgers on the grill, and that was about the extent of it. We were going to attend a band concert at the local Comm. College, but it was moved indoors — no fun. Hmm. I did finally watch the first episode of LOST!!

How did I miss this post yesterday?

We didn’t do much. Hung out with our kids, jumped on the tramp, grilled burgers, and oh, I took a nap!

We celebrated Evalyn’s first birthday with family and friends, exactly as planned.

The plan was to go camping. The reality was I spent Memorial Day in the hospital on bed rest due to my water breaking at 26 weeks (PPROM). Not sure how I found your blog but I enjoy reading it. Thank you.
