Are you a keeper or a tosser?
By Moriah on July 15th, 2010
Madeline’s already asked me about two different toys that I “misplaced” in the garbage bin yesterday. (Why must she be so thorough?!)

After the tornado consignment sale blew through our house, well, it was one of these times. Something had to be done. Ellen (”the girl who watches my kids” – whom we LOVE, by the way) offered to watch my kids (along with her sister) at her neighbor’s pool for the afternoon. Which meant that it was the perfect opportunity to purge the toy boxes.
And boy, purge I did. It felt goooooooood.
(I’m still avoiding Madeline about those toys. She’s 5. She’s got to forget sometime, right?)
It never ceases to amaze me how different my attitude and outlook on life changes (for the better) when my house is (mostly) in order. Neither Andy or I function well in the midst of clutter and toy chaos. I doubt many people do. And, as I’ve said before, in a small house you need LESS STUFF.
{Sometimes, I put her hair up just to remind myself how beautiful she is.}

{Most SOOC.}
PS: don’t forget Fun Mom Friday is tomorrow!

she is gorgeous. And you know my philosophy on the the tossing of the toys. haha.
She is beautiful!! I’m trying not to go crazy with the kids home and constantly making messes. I’ve already scheduled a major “toss out” day – it will be the first day of school! :)
I’m a tosser, (well, I TRIED to “share” toys with you, but we ended up getting them back! HA!). And Madeline looks just like you! What a beautiful young lady she is!
i’m a tosser. a pro organizer one time said “if a toy is broken or missing parts, then toss it.” i tend to get rid of a toy every time a new one comes in. i either donate a toy, sell it or toss a broken one. it keeps the toy box from overflowing.
I’m a big tosser. Which is nice because I have a small house. But even if I had a monstrous house I’d still be this way.
I’m most definitly a tosser. This OCD girl cannot handle clutter.
I was just thinking how beautiful she was before you comment on her. She’s such a doll!
I am a TOSSER!! The less the better. Unfortunately, my middle boy is a hoarder. This makes my penchant for organizing and streamlining a bit difficult. Clutter makes me crazy.
um, I think I’m a keeper. though I keep wanting to be a tosser.
I agree, now that the adult clothes are done I’m in the mood to go ahead and do the kid clothes and also the toys/games/books. I always feel like we need a good toy purge before the birthday/Christmas season hits.
She is truly unusually beautiful. I LOVE to pull Lucy’s hair back and occasionally I slip her glasses off for a picture so I can see her pretty eyes better. But I can’t do that too much…don’t want her to be self conscious about her glasses….so far so good.
Definitely a tosser – always was, always will be!!
