Y’all.  I know I have sweet internet friends that come check here every day for an update or a laugh or a photo.  I know it’s frustrating to have the same old post show up day after day.  But our lives are topsy turvy right now and some days I’m hanging on by a thread, no room for extras.  There are things I wish I could say here but I really just can’t.  The story is not [only] mine to tell.  And God is in the very middle of showing us what He’s written.

So we wait.  We follow.

We live each day.  One at a time.

And it is enough.

(“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34)

Haircuts and babytoes

By Moriah on September 20th, 2010

One of the things my sisters always do when they come over is paint my girls’ finger and toenails.  (It even gets fancy with the French-tipping.)  This last time they got a hold of the baby, too.  SO funny.  And cute.

Also, I cut Adelaide’s hair again last week. I thought we’d try growing it out some but then it just got thin and stringy-ish and drove me crazy. So back to bob it went. This photo isn’t a great shot of the cut but I love it anyway. And you can still see the little braid my sister put in her hair.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Found it. Here ya go!

My camera battery charger was in my sewing box. (Makes perfect sense, I know.) Anyway, these photos are from last weekend, obviously at the playground.

(Can’t bring myself to brush out his bedhead. They’re only little once.)

Carry on

By Moriah on September 16th, 2010

Okay, okay, okay! Yes, we are alive and well but it has been a crazy week and I get to every night and literally fall into bed with no thoughts (or brain cells) left for blogging. Plus I can’t find my camera battery charger. I’m hoping to find that today and if I do I’ll be back with some photos from this week.

(I think it’s in the bin o’ junk still up in the attic from when we pretend-sold our house.)

day of 1st grade and kindergarten!

first day of school 2010

By Moriah on September 8th, 2010

we’re gonna run around with “our hair cut off” – as my mom would say (she likes to mix metaphors, to the utter and endless delight of her children*) – getting groceries and SCHOOL SUPPLIES since school starts, well, tomorrow.

</happy dance>

I had a random dinner date with my friend Lisa last night since it was Tuesday (I’m so predictable) and that means we eat at Chick-Fil-A and she was there with her kids, too.  (We go mostly because it’s free but partly because by the time we get to Tuesday it’s slim pickin’s at our house.)  And then we had to haul it back to our part of town, drop the little girls off with my sister, and get to the school Open House so the kids could see their classrooms and meet their teachers.  Madeline’s just a teensy bit excited, you could say.

I’m just ready for some order, ya know?!

Lazy Sunday Afternoons

By Moriah on September 6th, 2010

are for sitting in planters…

and sidewalk chalk…

and getting chalk-filthy,

feeding sisters chocolate chips

from a little bowl;

laying crawling around on the picnic blanket,

making paper airplanes,

and riding bikes,

really fast.
