Laying Low

By Moriah on December 30th, 2009

Still recovering from Christmas… I stayed up way too late that whole week before and then went on a trip. I’m t-i-r-e-d. And have way too much laundry.

I did have to leave my house yesterday for my post-partum appointment (yeah, it was a little later than the prescribed 6 weeks, but who’s counting?) that was entirely frustrating.

I’m taking Arianna to her 6 week check up today (even though she’ll be 9 weeks tomorrow — again, WHO’S COUNTING?!) and hopefully it will be uneventful and we won’t have to sit and wait for two hours.

I’m still figuring out the new camera, settings and editing. Taking a million photos of baby since she’s THE ONLY ONE THAT SITS STILL:

(And also? Pinching those cheeks. They’re irresistible.)

Other than carpool pick-up (and a quick stop at the post office), we didn’t go anywhere or do anything today. The only photos I took were a bunch of ARIANNA (that’s for you, Mom) while the other kids were sleeping. I hadn’t taken any in a couple of weeks and babies change so fast at this age.

DPP Day 16: Coffee, pj’s, and paintbrushes

By Moriah on December 16th, 2009

Occasionally Andy meets a friend for coffee, and it’s always on a Wednesday morning.  Today he woke me up to say he was leaving and it went something like this, “I made your coffee and thekidsarepaintingatthekitchentable.  See ya!”

What a sweet guy.  (He also should have tacked on “oh and by the way, Adelaide’s stinky.”)

Welcome to the morning!!

I’m posting three photos because I liked them all for various reasons and couldn’t pick just one.

DPP Day 11: Warm & Bright

Two years ago I made Madeline a little scarf for the winter (when we lived up north and it was cold).  She’s been wearing it a lot recently and I decided I needed to make one for Adelaide.  I thought this bright multi-colored yarn would be fun for her dark pink corduroy coat.

That photo was right before I ripped the whole thing out and started over, making it a bit narrower.  I also didn’t like how the colors were lining up so uniformly.  It looks much better this time.  I’ll post another photo when it’s finished.

DPP Day 10: Floor Twirling

By Moriah on December 11th, 2009

Madeline had her preschool class Christmas party today so I let her and Adelaide wear their fun Christmas pants (bought last year on clearance and rediscovered in the attic a few weeks ago).

This was Adelaide turning circles on the floor with her feet. And eating cheese.
